 |
|
As someone based in the UK I'm looking at producing a more comprehensive set of P&P / Shipping modules for other services available here.
One key thing I'm aware of is that most couriers have custom rates/bands for different customers so if anyone has a specific courier they'd like to use then please register and post below so I can keep them in mind.
Beyond that the search functionality on ISC is rather limited and isn't including web content which makes the content I've written of my shopping cart difficult to find intuitively.
Planned Modules:
- ParcelForce
- Parcelforce (customisable rates guide)
- Search enhancement

Hi Martin, I'm also in the UK, and currently testing ISC.
I've notice a few could couriers like.
Payperparcel and parcelmonkey.
Which offer good rates for parcels.
Payperparcel.
They techincally run as standards rates as long as your accounts are funded with
parcelmonkey
These run 1 rates for different parcels.
Would be good to see if we could link this in some how, so it all automated.
Let me know what you think

I hit a huge brick wall with this... well three actually so any development of this kind is very much on hold.
Wall #1 is time, or lack of it...
Number 2 was Interspire's total and utter lack of communication or acknowledgement of third party developers.
Finally, the third was the lack of interest in my existing modules... People pay a small fortune for the ISC product and then don't want to pay for anything else... Especially for stuff that's already supposedly been paid for but not supported (QED: the original Royal mail module still with 2008-09 prices ).
Beyond that the volumetric and packing problem maths is incredibly complex so for now consider this "ideas" thread thoroughly mothballed..
Apologies but I'm being realistic and rather brutally honest with myself at present. |

Hi Martin, I understand the time issues, I aint a programmer, but I know how very time consumming these things take.
No worries about not doing or looking into it no more.
I only realised the Date after I posted this..lol
Interspire seems to be a good product, and would be alot better if they listened alot more to there customers..
I'm still deciding which cart to really use.. As CS-Cart seems a good one at the momement, But I thinking I might Stick around with Interspire and see what is in store for V6. |
